What's New

Jack had a pretty busy spring with shows in Del Mar, Monterey, Redmond & Phoenix.  He’s getting ready to head for “ALPACAMANIA” up in Oregon early October & then on to Santa Ynez  Valley “Alpacafest West” later in October.  Then will be staying home for awhile – we hope.

We’ve had a great year for ribbons:

FANTASIA

1st Alpacamania  2002      SOJAA   Centerville/OR

So far there are 17 new cria in the herd and 21 more to go!

We’ve  had a great year with “PpA ESPRESSO” our black herdsire producing 3 beautiful females & 2 males – “PpA ZEUS & “PpA CHASE” so far in 2003  That’s 15 or more females & 3 males he’s sired over the past couple of years (keep it up ESPRESSO!)

Our ACCOYO “PAYDAY”  son of the recently deceased CALIGULA produced some of the densest &  crimpiest cria we’ve ever had including  gorgeous fawn female “Nienta”,  white “PANDORA” GORGEOUS & 2 beautiful future herd sires “INTREPID”-(medium fawn) & “TSUNAMI” (white)  with a number of cria due in the next month or so.

“MILES” son of the famous suri stud PARDNER once again came through with fabulous cria – female “AURORA” white and potential herd sires “RASTI” fawn & “JACKSON” fawn.  He still has several cria that haven’t arrived for this year.

SPECIAL THANK YOU  to Cathy & Alan Nielson (Valley of the Moon Alpacas) for “Atlanta” gorgeous white female  produced by “Atlas”  & PpMito’s “Lisbeth”.  Also special thanks to Andrea Applegate’s stud BLACK KNIGHT for a fabulous medium fawn suri female “Cappucino”– another little girl you’ll see in the winner’s circle produced by our dam “Serendipity”.

Two of our guys have departed for the Sequoia Park Zoo.  One of MILES’ cuties “ROCKY”  a neat fawn suri male and  one of our accoyo PAYDAY’s finest “JACKPOT” a white huacaya with fawn face  - both stud quality.  They’re now living in a $5,000,000.00 (that’s FIVE MILLION DOLLARS) home and the gravel for their yard was $40,000 (special stuff hauled in from southern California to keep their little feet clean & healthy).  They are part of the educational program so the public can watch and learn about them but cannot touch or disturb them –  some little critters have all the luck!

Dewey & Lambada

Also 3 new ducks arrived recently – the foxes took care of two of them the first night (we live right on the Humboldt Bay Wild Life) so DEWEY (the remaining duck) moved in with the alpacas & seems to be doing just fine!

OOPS! Dewey is a girl:
